These new processors will be using the LGA1151 socket, however it appears that they won't be compatible with the LGA1151 motherboards that are currently available. This information comes straight from ASRock. When a user asked whether these new CPUs will be compatible with ASRock's LGA1151 motherboards, ASRock replied and confirmed that the Coffee Lake CPUs will require new motherboards.
