Valve announced the arrival of a co-op campaign to its MOBA title, DOTA 2 last month, and promptly missed the late May launch window. Now in June, the Siltbreaker co-op campaign's first act
, titled 'The Sands of Fate' is available for all Battle Pass to tackle, arriving as the first ever campaign to the game.
Act one is comprised of multiple "play zones" where players are rated on their performance level using a star-based system. Players that complete these play zones can net some Battle Points as well as treasures, depending on their performance. These treasures have a chance of delivering what Valve describes as an "indescribably-rare Immortal Desert Sands Baby Roshan courier". Battle Pass owners who have a Battle Level of 165 or higher will be able to net twice the amount of treasures for each run, heightening their chances of getting some good loot. Players who have already made efforts to complete the campaign say it's quite a difficult task, and that hero composition as well as itemization is important, just as when playing a regular game of DOTA.
